As a Balimela Dam Project Hospital ,Chitrakonda . later in the year 2017 it was declared as Sub-Divisional Hospital by Govt of Odisha.It is the main centre of hope and aspiration of near about One lakhs of people of Chitrakonda Block which consist of maximum People are from Swabhiman Anchal area Or Cut-off Area.
It covers the people of adjacent state Andhra Pradesh as it is one of the boarder block of state of Odisha. It is one of the biggest peripheral Sub-divisional hospitals in the District of Malkangiri with 24×7 specialist service.
